End of March 2017 the Israeli government, for the first time in 20 years, allowed the construction of a new settlement on land conquered during the Six-Day War of 1967.
This new development made me consider possible solutions and scenarios for the middle east situation.
As you can see, shortly after publishing the above “joke” on Facebook, I received quite an upsetting comment.
I do believe that people should have a safe place to pray at. However, I really do not see how shops and other businesses in the vicinity stop the mosque from being a safe place.
Things are never black and white so I would like to take a few minutes to discuss this in greater detail.
I am sure that not everyone will agree with some of my opinions and views. I would be more than happy for you to comment on them, but please be aware that, like any human, I can (and frequently do) get things wrong. So please try to be polite in your responses and try to keep the insults to a minimum 😉
As for myself, I will try to give sources whenever possible and try to stay as objective as possible (but then again, this is a blog about my personal opinions).
